There are three options:
1. Placeholder: All demo images will be replaced with gray images from https://via.placeholder.com - FASTEST IMPORT
2. Remote: All demo images will be accessed remotely - FAST IMPORT
3. Local: All demo images will be downloaded and stored locally - SLOW IMPORT
You should choose option 2( Remote option)
