Post Grid Images too big on mobile view

Hi there,
After the update to 1.4.9 my mobile view is a bit off. The text if off and The post grid on the home page especially is just too big! Thanks
Another thing too is that I don't have a color section under Theme Options so I can't change colors. I wanted to change the header style 7 to BLACK = 000000 but when I add the code below to the css it does not change.
.header.style7 .top-header {
background-color:#CD2600;
color:#FFFFFF;
}
