    multilingual plugin

    Posted by: caferace1 Jun 18, 2025 at 09:57 (a month ago)
Good morning, we need our site to be multilingual and the urls to be translated. We have tried some plugins but they are not compatible with your template (the flags overlap the header words, etc). Now I read in the Features List of the template that "WPML – Multilingual Support" was included, does this plugin allow you to have a multilingual site and url? I don't see it among the installed plugins. Can you help us understand which plugin is compatible with your template and help us in the correct setting?

    Hi,
WPML – Multilingual plugin allows you to set up a website with multiple languages, this is the plugin that we recommend everyone to use if they want to use multiple languages. You do not see it in the installed plugin because it is a paid plugin and not everyone who uses our Theme has the need to use multiple languages, adding it will increase the price of the Theme.
Here is the plugin's homepage: "https://wpml.org/". You can install, use according to the plugin's documentation, and can send support directly to the plugin author if you have problems related to the plugin.
    Regards!

Hi, we started using WPML for the multilingual site but switching to the English version there seems to be a problem in the template. The footer is overlapping the rest of the site as you can see in the following pages:
    https://www.ex-moto.com/en/
    https://www.ex-moto.com/en/about-us/
    https://www.ex-moto.com/en/contact-us/

while this error does not occur on the shop page and in all products.

Could you please check and resolve? And if you could explain how to resolve the problem in case it should occur again when we add more languages.

    Hi,
This issue is caused by the Footer - Absolute option in Theme Options being enabled (screenshot_1). Each language will also have its own Theme Options, you may have mistakenly enabled it at some point, make sure you create the new language correctly from the original language so that all options are cloned accordingly.
    Regards!

Exactly that was the problem, I don't know why it was set that way. Instead in the German part why is the footer displayed twice?

This problem may be due to the cache of Theme Options, sometimes operations that are too fast or batch operations will be cached, you can choose another footer and then save and choose footer 36 again so that the cache is reloaded. I did it again and the German footer is ok.
    Regards!

Thanks, but now there is something strange. Even in the English version I see the footer translated into German, before it was not like that

Since the English Theme Options are selecting German Footer 36, just select the correct Footer 36 again.

Good morning, if I change the footer of the English version, it also changes in the German version and the footer in the German version goes back to being double-sided.

I thought I had solved it by changing the footer from the settings of each page in German. Now for all pages it is correct, while in the shop page the double footer is displayed instead of the one in German

This problem is due to the cache not being loaded correctly with the mobile Header, just clear the cache (screenshot_1).

Good morning, I need help translating these texts in the product sheet. If I go to the theme settings and edit the fields as shown in the attached screenshots, they are also changed in the other languages, not just the one I selected. Is there another way to translate them? This doesn't happen automatically.

The texts in Theme Options cannot be translated automatically. To translate these texts for each language, they need to be entered in the edit section of each product. Each product with each language will have different input sections (screenshot).
