Updating from version 2.3.3 to 2.3.8 after encountering WooCommerce errors and unlogged sales

We have inherited a client running Kutethemes boutique version 2.3.3. It appears that recent WooCommerce and MailPoet updates have broken functionality. Sales were transacted but there was no notiification email or record however we discovered PayPal transactions had taken place but we have no detrails about the client or order.
Will the update delete or recover the lost transaction data?
