In the meantime, we managed to fix it with CSS.

Hi,
First, Go to Personalizza / WooCommerce / Product Image, you will find the settings for product images here. As your photo describes, I see that you want the image to have a square ratio, choose 1:1 and you're done. (screenshot_1)
Then go to the dashboard and regenerate thumbnails. (screenshot_2)
