    The theme shows the mobile version in desktop

    Posted by: vmv88 Nov 1, 2022 at 04:40 (2 year ago)
    We encountered an issue where the theme displays the mobile version in a desktop or a laptop.
    Can you please give us an idea on how set it up correctly so the theme shows correctly independently of the device?

    Hi @vmv88,

    Could you please let me know exactly your intention?
    You can provide the admin account, and take some screenshots of your issue. Then I will help you to check your site.

    Thank you!
    Regards,

    Apologies, I didn't realize that you have answered the ticket here, and I opened a new one.
    Our intention is to make the theme open accordingly to the screen size.
    It doesn't happen all the time, but periodically, when you open the website from a computer, it opens with the mobile version instead of the regular version, and we are not sure why this is happening.
    The temporary solution to the issue is to purge the cache to return to normal,
    but we would like to know if there is any kind of configuration that we can do to the theme to force it to open using the correct version accordingly to the screen size.
    It is not happening right now, but it has happened a couple of times the past two weeks.

    Hmm, so it's quite hard for me to check this problem when I don't see any bug on your site: https://prnt.sc/dbgY9YelfXFM
    Also, I still am still not clear about your issue as well. So please take a screenshot immediately when you see the problem and let me know. I will imagine how it is.
    And provide the admin + FTP account also. Thank you!

    Hi,
    I am sorry for the delay on this.
    The issue hadn't happen in a few days so we have to wait to get the screenshot.
    Currently the site is showing up as the mobile version in Chrome or Edge browsers from any computer that we tested with.
    It doesn't matter how big or small the screen is.
    Please see the attachment to see the issue. The screenshot was taken from a laptop.
    Also, please find the FTP and admin access.
    It gets cleared if we clear the cache, but it comes back.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    I am testing your site and I don't see the problem anymore: https://prnt.sc/T-0Psc0oLu5E
    Pls check it again. The Mobile version is still being enabled.

    I have another question.
    We are having an issue with the side-bar on mobile.
    When you click in the sidebar button in mobile, it opens the sidebar but at the very bottom of the page.
    If you are in the top of the page, you cannot see it.
    I added an entry in the additional css to bring it to the top. Please look at it below:
    That works, but if you are scrolling in the middle of the page or at the bottom and you hit the side bar, then now you cannot see the sidebar either.
    Is there a way that we can add a functionality to the sidebar button to scroll to the top?
    Or help us modify the css entry to be able to see the side bar at the top of the mobile screen even if it's at the middle or the bottom of the page?
    Thanks in Advance,

    Here is the current css entry:
    @media only screen and (max-width: 786px) {

    #secondary {
    display: flex;
    position: absolute;

    }

    /* Sidebar */
    #top .container aside {
    order: 1;
    }

    /* Main Content */
    #top .container main {order: 2;flex-grow: 1;}

    }

    Hi,
    Here are the screenshots and the steps to reproduce the behavior.
    This issue happens when you are using the site in a mobile device.
    The wanted behavior happens when you are at the top of the page and click the Sidebar Button in the mobile menu.
    That opens the sidebar inside the viewable screen.
    That's screenshots 1 and 2.

    The issue starts to happen when you scroll further down the sidebar length.
    So, close the sidebar and scroll pass the middle of the page.
    And open the sidebar again
    That's screenshots 3 and 4.
    The sidebar now longer shows up on the viewable screen.

    The issue is that it's not intuitive to the customers that they need to scroll to the top of the page to see the Sidebar.
    We've had complaints about that.

    So we need to add functionality to have the sidebar inside the viewable screen.
    We think that the easiest way to do that is simply to scroll to the top of the page when the sidebar is going to be opened,
    So we want to know if you can help us to add the functionality to the Sidebar button. It just needs to scroll to the top of the page before it opens the Sidebar.

    Thanks
