    Customer can select more product amount than available

    Hi,

    on product page I can select more products than we have on stock. For example we have 15 pcs and I can select 2x 13 pcs. There will be probably 13 in the cart. There’s no check for amount. Even a success message will be displayed but the cart remains unchanged. This results to lost orders and abandoned carts. (The end customers report.)

    Our developer says that adding to cart is made via AJAX, not redirect as it should be and the input box does not check the stock availability (the cart on the other side does it).

    Please could you share your opinion to this topic? Could you fix it, please?

    Hi,
    It does have its purpose. What kind of conflict do you mean? Autoptimize is caching assets whereas Fastest Cache is full page cache. They work together and we're using it for years on many sites.
    Could you please technically specify where is the conflict?

    I also asked the coder to check your site again if he could find another reason that made the problem.
    But he still said that this plugin caused the error. You might config wrong this cache plugin.
    And you should use one cache plugin on a site.

    We switched off all the caching plugins. Still – if you add 100pcs of product to the cart (not on stock so much), it’s empty. But the message is „Product XY was added to cart“. This is the issue and it remains.

    Hi,

    thank you for the video. It is clearly visible that when you try to add 100 pcs, the message is displayed. It states that the product was added to cart but of course it wasn’t. This is the issue. The bubble message is the problem – the product was not added but it says the opposite.

    It is confusing for customer – imagine you have the last product on stock and they will try to add 2 pcs. The message will say, that products were added to cart but it’s not true. The customer won’t be informed properly and will realize it probably during checkout. But! They will not come back to purchase the product.

    This is a lost order for us. This is the problem. The message must display that the product was not added to cart, it must check the stock status.
