Problem with variations display on product (single) page

Hi,
I'm having issues with variations selection on single product page.
The problem is that selected item is not emphasized in any way, there's no difference between selected and uselected item (see attached image).
I'm using latest version of Theme along with Variation Swatches plugin (v2.1.1.4).
By the way, entire layout is clumsy, I'd expect selectable items are displayed below attribute name and that Clear option is located next to or below items.
