    Regarding header settings. I was wondering if I could customize it and not just choose from 9 options. Maybe now we use header 7 and we want to edit something there. Possible?

    About the Autoptimize plugin. Will it help if we turn it off? Should it speed up the page, or can it just be reconfigured?

    Yes, maybe edit header if you are a coder and know about PHP, js,... About the Autoptimize plugin then the author of theme, they found out the cause by it. ou can turn off this plugin and check your results.
