Pages - setting header and footer globally not for each page

    Posted by: andtay2001 May 27, 2021 at 14:30 (2 year ago)
    Hi,

On pages is there a way to disable or set as null/ default the header and footer options.

I've set my header and footer globally but the page setting options keep overriding them.

I'd prefer to remove these options or set them as the default / global.

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

I can understand that you do not have the same header for some pages, right?
And you want to use the header style 15 for your all pages?
If that, please disable the Meta box mode in Theme Options / General: https://prnt.sc/13iclds
Because when you enable this mode, all settings will just be applied to the homepage only. Let do it then let me know

    Regards,
    Yame

Many thanks, is there a function to remove the whole of the Custom Theme Options panel on pages so the client doesn't try and change the options?

Also a CSS Wp Bakery issue.

I'm trying to make the 'What' bigger using the inline WP Bakery options.

    https://www.chufd.co.uk/what/

But using the WPBakery settings the inline CSS gets added to the parent div.

How do I get the CSS to target the h1 using WPBakery?

I could add it in CSS but I want the client to be able to change the styles using the settings.

Thanks, it seems the parent / child tag options fixed it.

Is there a function to remove the whole of the Custom Theme Options panel on pages so the client doesn't try and change the options?

You can add all the css code in Theme Options or in the Child theme. It will be safe for you when you want to update the theme without needing to backup

Sorry I meant disabling the theme customisation option found under each page. Not the global theme custom css options.

With this question, I think you just need to turn off the Meta box mode on each of the page then all setting in Theme Options will be applied for your whole pages

    Hi,

Are the them options available for portofilio posts?

I can see the options for pages but not portfolio single.

I'd like to have one main footer (footer 15) site wide, except for portfolio posts (footer 1).

Is there a way to enable theme footer options for portfolios or to code the footer.php so it shows footer #1 if portfolio single, else footer #15.

    Thanks

    Andrew

It will be applied to all pages. Or I will ask again the coder for you and I will inform you later when I get his answer.
    Thanks!

    Hi,

Today I get feedback from my coder.
    As his explanation:
If you want have the settings for the different Footer for the different pages (footer 15 for the homepage and footer 01 for portfolio), basically, you can enable the Meta box mode for each of the detail pages. But it will be divided into 2 types:
    - All the page builders (homepage): Enable the Meta box => select the Footer for that page
    - All the inner pages (there is the Portfolio Single) will have the same Footer as the settings in Theme Options.
However, as you mean, you want each of the Portfolio Single (this is an inner page) will have its own Footer, so you have to customize the code.

Hope that with this explanation, you will understand your case.
    Thanks!
