Problem whit home page and header

I imported the demo data but there is something wrong.
I set the main color, I set the home page4 as a static page.
But when I see the home I see it orange and not with the main color I set.
you can help me?
How can I change the header color and set it as I like it?
I would like to understand the procedure as now the site is on a test domain for some tests
