Is it possible to perform the demo import without losing the existing pages, articles and products?
We have a running site but would like to get a new turan theme running. Unfortunately the import of the demo data hangs at Install sample data. Download sample data package still works. I tried to edit the stored sample_data_01 -10 .sql with wp_ prefix instead of #__. And then manually imported into the database. But the whole site was destroyed. I have cloned a test environment at http://www.bitex.yourweb.de. There you see the result. No Pictures. All other data from https://bitex-workwear.de have been overwritten or deleted. We need the current state but in the new design with all demo templates ... any idea how to implement that?

    Hi @bi-tex,

We would like to access your site then will help you to check + install again this theme. However, your admin account is not correct: https://prnt.sc/ugrays
Also, the FTP account does not work: https://prnt.sc/ugrbhy

Pls check again then let me know when it works and inform me of the homepage you are interested in.
    Regards,

    Hi Yame,

sorry i forgot the username for the WP Login. And on the FTP you swap the Server Url with the Username. The Login must work. Now i send again the right Logins. Thx for helping!

    Thanks!
I guess that you did not import successfully the demo data. However, you uploaded your own data, contents for your site (I see that you have the products, posts, images,...) so I am not able to re-import the demo data for you.
I saw you used the home 03, so I imported manually the Homepage03 for you to be the same with the demo site. Now please check your site again and let me know if it is fine.

Otherwise, you can choose back yours here: https://prnt.sc/uhczh8
Pls let me know if you need to change anything, I will help you

    Hello Yame,

    thank you in advance.
Yes that's right. I didn't import all of the demo data because all of my posts, pages and products were gone during the first test.
then i came up with the idea of reproducing the elements piece by piece.
I set up a fresh installation with the theme beforehand and imported the demo data.
I used the wordpress importer under tools. it worked this time. then i exported the individual components as .json and re-imported them to the current state with all contributions, pages and products. without these being lost after the import.
then I copied the theme options over.
then the menus with extra export import menus plugin copied over. then I tried to reconstruct all the links.
unfortunately the mega menu doesn't really work yet. the menu does not appear when you click on home and shop.
and some pictures are missing somehow.
or do you have a better idea how I can get your theme plus demo settings and data in mine without losing everything and having to start from scratch?
the current shop is filled with data from the last 5 years.
do you have documentation for a manual import or reconstruction?
similar to how you did that with the home03? that's how I meant it.

    - Firstly, you did the import/export from your site while there is no content as the demo, so how can you do it correctly? :D
    - Secondly, you select the wrong menu for the menu item named SHOP:
=> Here you selected this mega menu: https://prnt.sc/ui4ms1 while there is no content in this mega menu: https://prnt.sc/ui4n7c -> https://prnt.sc/ui4ntw. That's why there is no information in your SHOP menu
=> You have to select this one: https://prnt.sc/ui4o94 -> https://prnt.sc/ui4okt then it will show like this: https://prnt.sc/ui4uxm
In case you don't see any contents on this Megamenu - Shop - 3445, you can import from the default template:
    1. Mega menu > Create new one: https://prnt.sc/ui4vzt
    2. Enter the name for the menu then click Backend Editor: https://prnt.sc/ui4wh7
    3. Click Add Template: https://prnt.sc/ui4wxh
    4. In the Default Templates tab, you can import any content of the demo theme as you want: https://prnt.sc/ui4xwz

This is also the way I imported the Homepage03 for you. You will not lose any your own content, data on your site :) Hope that it is useful for you
