    Product Filter Not Working Properly

Posted by: feelpersonalised Apr 5, 2019 at 14:13 (6 year ago)
Hi there, I have just added a couple of categories and products to my site and tested the product filter options such as (Sort by price Low to High) (Sort by price High to Low) also (Show 5, 10, 12, 15, ALL).

This function doesn't seem to be performing correctly at all.
    Please see below.

*Select a Category from the main Shop page (For this example use the 'Product Price Test' Category)
*You will see a list of 5 products all with various prices £1, £2, £5, £10 and £20.
*Select the filter option above to 'Sort by price: low to high' or Sort by price: high to low'
*This now redirects you back to the main Categories page and does not filter the products in price order.
*Please note the redirect also happens if you select any options from the 'Show' filter to change how many products to display, on both products pages and categories pages.

Screenshots attached and secret info attached.

I would appreciate it if you could have a look and fix this for me so I can filter all products correctly :)

    Kind Regards,
    Joe.

Hi thank you this has been fixed, sorry I forgot to update the ticket to say.

Although there is just one small issue that I have now since I updated my theme to the new version.
If you visit any of my product pages, you will see I have 'Required Fields' which have to be selected or filled in before allowing adding to cart and purchasing. However it appears to let you simply leave these empty and ignore them and allows you to click 'Add to basket' and gives a Notice saying the product has been added.

Now when you go to view Cart, the cart is empty.

What it should do is stop you adding to basket and give the error immediately displayed at the top of the product page notifying the customer they must fill out the necessary fields before adding to basket.

I'm sure this is a tiny bug and that's pretty much it, nothing else to be fixed or needs changing at all, very pleased with everything else :)

    Thanks,
    Joe.

For example a good test would be this item page (https://www.feelpersonalised.co.uk/product/first-day-yes-day-forever-day/) also found via Personalised Frame Prints / Wedding Prints / First Day Yes Day Forever Day, this product has lots of fields which are set to required and should give an error if these are not filled in when trying to 'Add to basket'.

I will inform you when he gives me any feedback. Thanks for your patience!

    Hi,

You can turn OFF Ajax Add To Cart. The import and check action for Required Fields at Add to Cart cannot be used at the same time with Ajax Add To Cart.

Pls do it and check your site again then let me know the result

Thanks it seems your coder has already done this for me, all working fine now for this issue :)

I was looking at customizing the front-end customer 'Orders' page where they see a list of their recent orders, for example I wanted to show a thumbnail of the item next to each order,

However I'm struggling to locate the template file of the 'Orders' page so I can edit this page and add some code.
Would you or your coder be able to locate and let me know which file/folder this is for my theme so I can go ahead and make changes to this page?

    Thank you :)

    Hi,

This is the guideline from my coder:

Please use Child theme, copy this file: order-details-item.php into folder: kuteshop-child/woocommerce/order/ (if you do not have this folder, you can create one)
This is the example of folder you need to add the file: http://prntscr.com/npmava

Pls do this then let me know the result

Thank you, I manually created a child theme, and added this file and the product image is now showing in order details :-)
I had to edit the code to make the image smaller as it was coming out pretty big and create a new line between the image and product title so it was on top and everything is great now.

Thank you and your coder :)
