Massive Performance Problems

Hello,
our website based on Biolife theme has massive Performance problems because of something in the template files. Loading times up to 18 Seconds at 1,3MB page load (see attached screenshot): That makes absolutely no sense. Why is the main resource waiting so long for its first byte?!
Maybe this could be a problem:
Some kind of cURL or synchronous call in the theme files that gets declined and the whole document waits for it's response. It appears in the root document on every page so the error has to be somewhere in functions.php, header.php, footer.php or other resources that get loaded on every page of the website.
Please respond to this soon, this is very urgent!
If you are not able to find the code that causes this error, maybe we could make a call and look on it together.
