    Hi could you please help me update the theme on my website

    I have not updated the theme and now my website is having serious errors. I have limited web knowledge so could you please be really detailed in your response.

    I cannot access to your admin account. And please let me know why cannot you update your theme?
    Have you customized any your site? I think, it will be better if you can update your theme by yourself

    I can not see how to update the site, can you have a look and teach me how to do it so I can keep it up to date.

    Please make sure that you do not customize anything in your Parent theme (Main theme)
    Step 1: Backup your site (Include codes + Database)
    Step 2: From the dashboard >> Appearance >> Theme, you need to activate the default template (Ex; Twenty Seventeen theme)
    Step 3: Click on Boutique theme and then click Delete (look down in the right). NOTE: DO NOT delete the child theme
    Step 4: Return the Appearance menus choose Theme >> Add New >> choose your latest theme version >> Install
    then you will get the latest version of the theme.

    In case you customized some files in Main theme, please backup or move all the customized files into Child theme. It will be better for each time to update the theme

    I did exactly what you said but it failed

    "The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet."

    Theme installation failed.

    This is very urgent as my site is no longer working.

    On the home page, the banner image does not display nor does the images next the Precious Little Moments and Precious Little Print.
    On the about page the banner/feature image that runs across the top of the page does not display.

    This is the same for every page.

    I will attach screen shots of what I see.

    They do display on the mobile.

    The site is incredibly slow now - can you please look into this.
