Questions re: Expand/Collapse Product Category - # of Products per Page - Bulk Price Increase

    Posted by: nec168 Jan 18, 2019 at 05:09 (6 year ago)
    Hi Team,

    I have the following questions:

    1. I'd like to incorporate a click to expand or collapse feature in the Shop sidebar. For each product category, I'd like to list the available brand names currently for sale. I prefer an expand/collapse feature due to the number of brands which would make the sidebar too long.

    2. I'd like to show the same number of products per page. Right now I have different amounts per page. In the watches category, the pages show the following:

    1st page displays 81
    2nd page displays 53
    3rd page displays 14
    4th page displays 8
    5th page displays 35

I've already tried two different developers but neither could fix this issue. Do you have a way to fix this?

    3. How do I bulk increase prices? I tried to do it however it puts the products on sale. For example, the link below is for one of the watches I selected in bulk to increase the price. I selected the edit price and marked everything up by 50%, however it kept the original price and added a discounted retail price. The watch below was originally $2704.00. So instead of adding 50% to the price, it put the item on sale (displays a sale badge) and shows $4956.00 which never existed before I tried to bulk increase prices.

I would really appreciate any assistance you can provide me.

    Thank you

    Hi mate,

    1. I can understand that you want to have a function like: Expand and collapse when you are in a Product category. The un-related ones will collapsed. If that is you mean, we will update this function in the next update version.

    2. Show the same number of products per page: Can you take the screenshot then describe on that screenshot to let me know your intention for this point?

    3. Sorry, I do not understand this :(

Pls make all your questions clearly then I will help you
    Regards,
    Yame

    Hello Yame,

If you check the site, and pick a category, you'll see that each page display a different number of products for the same category. Can you fix it so that it displays the same number of products per page per category.

For example, set the pages display 25 products per page per category instead of what it's doing now which is:

    1st page displays 81
    2nd page displays 53
    3rd page displays 14
    4th page displays 8
    5th page displays 35

I tried to include screenshots here, but it's not allowing me. Please visit the site and you'll see what I mean. You can pick any category and you'll see each page display a different number of products per page per category.

    Thank you

    For example the Category Watches:
    - the 1st page: You are setting number of products per page is 100 products (http://prntscr.com/mag4jv). However, it just has about 81 available products. It means that there are about 19 products are not available or out of stock, so you will never have the full of 100 products for the page. Now if you want to add 25 products per page / per category, you can set up in Theme Options

Is it what you want to ask? You can use the Light shot to take the screenshot then add the link here, I can see it

    Hello Yame,

In the categories, if you select Watches, it's currently showing 1979 watches available. If you go through each page, you'll see each page has a different number of watches displayed. I've screenshot the first 5 pages in the watch category displaying different number of watches per page here:

I actually hired a developer to have a look before I reached out to you. For some reason he set the number of products per page high, but still couldn't get each page to display the same number of products. There should be no shortage with 1979 watches available. He said due to the high number of products, the theme was dynamically showing a random number of products.

I don't mind setting it to 25 products per page if that makes the pages display the correct number of pages. If you'd like to set it to 25 products per page to test it, you have my permission to do so.

    Thank you.

The problem is that 1979 is the amount of products but it does not the available products that can be added to cart (May be some of them are out of stock so it cannot display on your cate page)

    Hello Yame,

I'm not sure if displaying 1979 products which might not all be available to add to cart explains why my pages are showing different number of products per page. Especially if I'm looking at one category only. If you set the pages to display 25 products per page, I think it'll have the same issue of not displaying the correct number of products per page. You are more than welcome to set it to 25 products to see if the issue still exists.

    Thank you.
