How to remove "BRAND" from filter on Collection Page.

Hello.
I want to say first of all, that before i purchased this theme from you guys, I had really good expectations. I was expecting a EASY TO USE product ,like Drag & Drop because I am not good with this stuff.
Problem #1: I am trying to remove this option to filter products, since this feature is not working by itself.....and Surprise , there is no box that I can uncheck to remove that " BRAND" from my page. :D.
Problem #2: When I press on the "KItchen Tools" which previously was "NEW ARRIVALS" i get this: see 2nd picture.
Please help me :), I am newbie :P
