I am really very sorry but perhaps I am not explaining my problem clearly.
It is this. I have started working on a homepage which in the list of pages is called Home 6 - Private. That is what I want to continue to work on and to use as my Homepage.
Now, on that page there are various links across the header - HOME SHOP etc. Now, when I click on HOME a big box comes up with links to 44 Demo homepages. What I would like is when I click on HOME is either stay on the home page if I am already there or go directly to the Homepage if I am on any other page.
I have asked you how I can get rid off all of these demo pages and first you told me to go to Dashboard >>Pages and delete the Demo pages. I could not do this because the demo pages were not there to be deleted and so I asked you again.
This time you told me to go to Dashboard>>Appearance>>Menus>>Main menu (Primary Menu). I could not find Main menu (Primary Menu) listed anywhere there amongst the nineteen (not 44) pages listed. So I selected Homepage 01 (Primary Menu) and deleted everything there. It seems this was a mistake because when I now go to my Homepage 6 - Private and all links are gone. So, when I selected Homepage 1, was that the same as homepage 6 - Private? and if so, why does it have a different name?
Surely what I am trying to do, just have a link which links without involving 43 other demo pages cannot be so difficult and yet I have spent about ten hours on this in total and I have got nowhere. Surely it need not be this difficult and confusing?
Unfortunately the video which you referred to is so difficult to follow and so jerky and unclear that, having watched it more than ten times i cannot follow it. Is there nowhere where I can find clear and concise instructions about performing very basic and essential actions?
I really appreciate your patience with this but I have to say that everything, absolutely everything about this theme is so unnecessarily complicated and, unless you are able to give me clear instructions which I can follow I have no alternative but to keep bothering you. It is such a waste of time and so utterly frustrating. I have spent well over one hundred hours on this and have not even half constructed a home page.
