Choose specific category in

I have added the "Lastest Deal Products Carousel" and "Lastest Deals" to my frontpage using the visual composer.
In "Lastest Deal Products Carousel" I can choose a category to be shown. I can't do this with the "Lastest Deals". Is this possible to fix?
The reason why I'm asking is because we want to use "Lastest Deal Products Carousel" as "Weekly deals", where we add new deals every week. The easiest thing to do then is to add a new product category called "Weekly deals", and then add all the products to that category.
We want to use "Lastest Deals" for "Today's deal". Every sunday we will add 7 products to the product category "Today's deal", where we have a new deal every day.
If we do it this way, "Today's deal" won't show up in "Weekly deals", and "Weekly deals" won't show up in "Today's deal".
In the picture I provided you can see what I mean. On the left we have "Ukens tilbud" (Weekly deals), and to the right we have "Dagens tilbud" (Today's deal). To the left we use "Lastest Deal Products Carousel", where we only show 1 category. To the right we use "Lastest Deals", where we have to show all the categories, meaning you can actually see the Retevis 888S on "Today's deal" as well. (Example: http://i.imgur.com/eyontpe.png)
I hope you understand what I mean.
Is this something you could add, or is it something I can easily fix myself?
