Hello mate,

As I understand your issue is that you are confusing about the install theme via FTP, am I right?
If that, I will guide you how to install theme via FTP. On FTP, you need to copy theme package the paste into the ...theme folder. Then go to dashboard > Theme & Logo > Add new theme > Scroll down to Select IMPORT FROM FTP, you will see the package that you've uploaded before. Select and install normally
