WPML Setup

I have installed WPML plugin with its addons. I started to setup wpml and I did everything as it was told in wpml documentation. Unfortunately, I came across with a several problems and thus, wpml won't work on the site.
First of all, I added languages and chose language switcher to be shown on the header and footer but unfortunately it is only showing one language, specifically English and it won't give other languages to choose.
Secondly, when I try to add a product on the site, it shows me: "Nothing to configure" under the Multilingual content setup tab, so I am not given a possibility to add products on the website with different languages.
As I came across with these problems, I didn't / couldn't go on further setup of WMPL.
Looking forward to help us solve these problems. I assume these problems have something to do with theme.
And if you fix these problems, could you please let me know what the issues were? Will be much appreciated.
