Theme doesn't work with multistore

I have a problem with this theme and multistore. If I set it for the second store I create the layout is completly empty and only shows the logo and background. All the .js and .css are loaded however but the html of the modules is not generating.
I try to set the store in the same group as main store and in different group with the same result. The only way to get it working is seting the theme in the main store, but this is not an option for me because it's a old store and I need to create a new one.
The Prestashop version is 1.6.0.5
I also tried to do it with a fresh install of Prestashop 1.6.1.1 with the same results.
