Issue with footer

Hi – I have a question regarding the footer for this theme. When I click on “Footer” in the admin on the left, I see all the available footers that I can edit. However, when I go into the footer file, it is not using Visual Composer for editing, it is what looks like the output from it making it really difficult to edit or add other info to. Here is what I see for Footer Style 01:

How can I edit this through Visual Composer? I can do this with the regular pages on the site. Help?
I also don't see an option for "Header" in the admin on the right as well.
