Categories tab products sorting

Dear Support,
in my home page on categories tab "Books" (but I tried also in other categories tabs and the iusse is the same) - section tab header "Specials" - section type "Custom" - order by "Sale price": it doesn't work cause products are not ordered by price.
Can you check please?
