I want to get rid of the Vertical Menu

I will like to use only a horizontal Menu With Mega Menus and get rid of the vertical menu .I will like to maintain the Slide and image on the right side But get rid of only the vertical menu Thanks. I am using Theme option 1.Can you kindly do that for me and show me how to do it when i am adding my menus .Thanks
