Slow load time

I have added close over 10,000 items to the database, but now my site is extremely slow. Upto 20 seconds on initial load. I have upgraded my vps to the following specs and it's still just as slow as the old server:
CPU: 10 Cores
RAM: 50 GB (guaranteed)
1 Gbit / s port
UNLIMITED Traffic
1200 GB - 100% SSD
Can you make any suggestions to help me with this issue?
