    Translate checkout/my account/cart page

Posted by: Weblevels Aug 2, 2016 at 17:14 (8 year ago)
    Hi there,

I bought one of your themes for the first time. I'm happy with my purchase and I have almost finished my first webshop with Boutique theme.
Now I'm looking at loose end and I see that some information on pages from WooCommerce (Cart/checkout/account) are not translated.

I haven't had this problem with other themes so I was wondering how I could solve this. Some parts are in Dutch (good) and some parts are still in English (bad).

See images as attachment and link for some examples.

    Thanks in advance!

    Kr,

It's the automatic translation from the Woocommerce plugin to Dutch (NL_nl).

See login details in secret section.
    Thanks!

    Hi Weblevels,
We understood your issue. You want to translate all items in your site. You need to install some plugin, it supports multi-languages like the WPML plugin. You can consult in https://wpml.org/. Default Wordpress does not support multi-language. So, we can not help you about this.
    Thank you.
    Have a nice day!

    Hi Kazim Vu,

It's weird that a part of Woocommerce is translated, and an other part is not. I've used the automatic translations of Woocommerce with other themes and it wasn't a problem to translate the sections I mentioned before.

Ofcourse I could be missing something, but it seems that it is a theme issue. I have no problem to use WPML (that was my back-up plan) but I would rather not use it.

    Is there an other solution?
    Kr,

    Yorick

    Hi Weblevels,
You can use some plugin that will help you translate it. We do not have much experience using the Multi-language plugin. Could you tell us how you have used the plugin to automatically translate your plugin? We want study it.
    Thank you.

    Hi there,

I solved the issue myself. Your theme contains some strings in the .pot file that are the same as Woocommerce strings. So the strings that are used in your theme .pot file are not automatically translated by Woocommerce.

I installed Loco Translate plugin and translated your whole theme to Dutch myself. This worked for me.

If you want to solve this issue in your next update for all Dutch users and want to have the Dutch translation (.po and .mo) for your Boutique theme (or any other themes you have), please contact me with the email-address in secret information.

    Have a nice day!
