Removal of WooCommerce (shopping cart)

Hello,

At this stage I don't want to sell anything online, so I don't want to use the WooCommerce plugin.
However, I don't know how can I remove the icon of shopping cart on the menu. I have tried to deactivate the WooCommerce plugin, however when I did it the whole website was not working.

We got your issue. To remove the shopping cart, please try adding the code in the attachment file to your functions.php file located inside your theme’s directory then let me know the result.

Hello,

I have added the given code in the functions.php file (Dashboard -> Appearance -> Editor -> Theme functions - functions.php) but the shopping cart icon is still there.
