    Blog in Advanced Menu

Posted by: bszakacs May 20, 2016 at 09:31 (9 year ago)
    Hi

I have an issue adding the main blog page to the Advanced menu. I edited the blog page short URL to be blog.html - it was smartblog.html, and i want to add a menu that links to it, but, in the dropdown, there is no such option. See this image:

Other options like smartblog-category and smartblog-archive all lead to a 404 page in frontoffice:

I cannot set a static link, as my site is multilanguge, so entering "blog.html" in the Custom link field, is not an option.

However, clicking the "From the blog" title on homepage, leads me to the page what i want to link from back office in the menu:

Please guide me on this one.

I have another issue: i don't want any categorisation, so i disabled the blog ctagories module, but, the "uncategories" link still appears on blog entires, both lists and detailed pages. Can you fix this?

Please note, that my website is being developed locally with vhosts redirect, so you will see old website on the domain.

    thanks

And what about URL for the diff. languages of the blog? if i switch lang, than it shows me:
"http://www.borrodesign.com/ro/module/smartblog/category" - which is no SEO URL at all

    Thanks

As i underlined, i cannot as i am developing on localhost as there is a live website on server now that cannot be taken down. But if you tell me a fix to remove the word "uncategorized" from blog posts when there is no categories than it should be fine. Or i remove it with CSS.

I did not do anything to it.
