Theme issues

Hi there. I'm having a tough time with this theme. I absolutely love everything about it, but I think I might have uploaded the theme incorrectly. It initially did give me the error message saying that the style sheet was missing.. so I read your notes on how to upload just the file necessary to activate the theme. Not even sure I uploaded the correct file...

I went into the documentation and opened the Chrome index to try following instructions there, but the sample photos are missing so I have no visual examples to follow and not sure what its suppose to look like. In customizing areas,I feel like I'm missing all kinds of features and not quite sure if that's everything or if I really am missing features I'm suppose to have. Like for example, I'm trying to set up the home page and and its giving me random options as a "static"page - I only have "home" options 1-9 and the rest is like "category" and "category 2" - I have no idea what is what. It's all over the place and I'm having a hard time trying to figure out whats what. When I try to set up the menu up top, the "style" i'm picking is not even appearing on the page. I'm very confused. I'm wondering if it was installed incorrectly altogether and if I should uninstall the theme and try it again. Like I said, the documentations are missing visuals so its unclear on what I'm looking at exactly. Your help would be much appreciated.

Also, I currently do not have content on the site just yet so I do want it to look like your demos, but again I think I'm missing some stuff to enable me to pick those as an option.. Thank you!
